Maximum Cost per Click (CPC)
Only pay when someone clicks your ad
Some networks ask Advertisers to pay every time their PPC Advert is displayed (also known as CPM advertising), regardless of whether the person actually notices the Advert or wants to know more.
We think differently. Netklix operates on a PPC (Pay Per Click) basis. This means that an Advertiser is only charged when someone has not only seen their message but also shown that they want to know more by clicking on their low cost PPC Advert.
You set the Maximum CPC
Netklix doesn't set prices. Instead our Advertisers tell us how much they are prepared to pay to drive potential customers to their site using our low cost PPC Adverts.
Every time an Advertiser creates a new PPC Advert they are asked what is the maximum they are willing to Pay per Click e.g. $0.55. You will never pay more per click than the Maximum CPC you have set, although you typically will pay less.
The "Max CPC" amount is an important factor in determining how often your low cost PPC Advert is shown, and where it appears within an AdSpace on a Publisher's site.
Advert Performance
How well your advert performs depends on several factors in conjunction with the Maximum CPC figure. When deciding what Adverts to show, the Netklix ad server evaluates each content Channel in turn.
All the Advertisers in each Channel are ranked by relevance, performance and Maximum CPC. The number 1 position in a channel is not just determined by how much you are willing to Pay per Click, but also how relevant your targeted PPC Advert is to the channel.
Optimized Click Costs
The Netklix ad server continually optimizes your click costs giving you better value for money.
For example:
- You have set your maximum CPC to $0.80 per click for your low cost PPC Advert.
- The Advertiser in the next ad position has a maximum CPC of $0.55 per click for their PPC Advert in the same Channel.
- The true cost per click (CPC) in this instance will be optimised to $0.01 above the next ad, which will mean you pay $0.56.
By continually optimizing your CPC downward, your overall campaign CPC is kept as low as possible, stretching your budget further. This means you could pay a lot less per click than you expect.
No matter what happens you will never pay more than your maximum bid, giving you peace of mind.
Making the most of your budget
Some Advertisers may find that they want to set different Max. CPC amounts for different Campaigns/Adverts, depending on Advertiser competition.
Testing out and evaluating different amounts is one way of ensuring that you get the most from your Netklix Campaigns.
